Support Options

At Smarthome Technology, we don’t believe the sign-off of the install is the end of the relationship. Following our installation we provide a 3 month free of charge period of ongoing support so we are certain your system is working well. Manufacturers quite often release updates to hardware and/or software for a variety of reasons, these can be released to address anything from resolving some critical bugs, increasing performance to just adding new functionality. Due to the high level of integration between various components of the installation, we would strongly recommend that this be carried out by an experienced professional.

Discounted Setup Fee: £400 **

The Remote Annual Service will include updates and service packs for processors, router, switches, remote controls, WIFI access points (where managed) and other devices that are available remotely. The on-site service will include all items covered by the remote service plus TVs, cabinet tidy and clean where possible, recalibration of projectors and visual inspection of all managed equipment.

*Premium clients with larger properties may require additional or longer service visits, this will incur an additional change and will be calculated on request.

**A setup fee is required for all system takeovers where Smarthome Technology hasn’t installed the system. Additional charges will apply if there is no OvrC control system on site and in some circumstances, we may need to update the router, network switches and wireless access points.

For Smarthome Technology clients the setup fee is waived, providing OvrC is available on-site.

***Clients on the Standard support plan benefit from 5% discount, and premium subscribers benefit from 10% on the following hardware manufacturers: Control4, Crestron, KNX, Savant, Lutron & Qmotion. This excludes labour charges.

For on-site call outs contracted clients will be charged a discounted fee of £100 per hour with no call out fee, non-contracted clients will be charged £222 call-out plus £114 per hour (after the first hour), the initial payment will need to be settled before the engineer is dispatched.

Contracted first line remote support hours are 24/7/365 days a year. Escalated remote and on-site support is provided between 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
